Propelld is hiring a Legal Intern to support its legal team. This Propelld legal internship covers contract drafting, legal research, client interactions, and day-to-day legal operations, giving students a well-rounded introduction to how an in-house legal team actually functions.
About the Role
Propelld is looking for a Legal Intern to handle research, paperwork, and attorney support tasks. The role also includes participation in client interviews, giving interns exposure to real client-facing legal work rather than research alone.
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Legal Intern, you will:
- Help draft and edit contract templates
- Draft various court documents, invoices, and enclosures at attorneys’ requests
- Conduct client training and perform legal research as needed
- Support smaller projects assigned by the legal team
- Assist in preparing a standard confidentiality agreement template
- Organize legal memoranda and client correspondence
- Research documents and publications to help establish evidence
- Proofread documents before submitting them to attorneys for review
- Produce retainer agreements, contact letters, and client publications
- Perform client intake and client interviews
- Prepare motions and interrogatories
- Conduct intake interviews to identify legal issues for case acceptance
- Observe and participate in client meetings, trials, mediations, and outreach
Because this role spans drafting, research, and direct client interaction, interns get exposure across nearly every function of a legal team, not just one narrow task.
Candidate Requirements
To apply, you must:
- Be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Law or a related field
- Be comfortable working with confidential documents and confidentiality obligations
- Have skills in contract formation, preparation, negotiation, review, and drafting
- Be able to identify key risk areas within a contract
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
