The MP Internship 2026 with the Office of Hon’ble Member of Parliament Shri Vishaldada Prakashbapu Patil offers students and young researchers an opportunity to gain practical exposure to parliamentary and public policy work. The programme combines research, government data analysis, legislative work and constituency-related research.

Following two successful cohorts, the Office of Shri Vishaldada Prakashbapu Patil has opened applications for the 3rd Cohort of its Internship Programme. Selected interns will work directly with the MP’s Office and contribute to ongoing parliamentary and policy-related work.

About the MP Internship Programme

The internship is designed for candidates who want to understand how parliamentary offices engage with public policy and legislative issues. Interns will get hands-on exposure to the research and preparation that supports parliamentary interventions.

The programme also provides an opportunity to work on contemporary policy issues and understand how government schemes, bills, reports and public data inform parliamentary work.

As a result, the internship can be particularly useful for students and young researchers interested in public policy, legislative research, political research, governance and parliamentary affairs.

Roles and Responsibilities

Selected interns will assist the MP’s Office with a range of research and parliamentary responsibilities. Their work will include:

  • Researching government policies, schemes, upcoming bills and contemporary public issues.
  • Drafting parliamentary questions, Zero Hour submissions and other parliamentary interventions.
  • Analysing government data, official reports and committee reports.
  • Assisting with research related to parliamentary committees and legislative debates.
  • Supporting constituency-specific research whenever required.

The role therefore involves both research and practical parliamentary work. Candidates should be comfortable working with information, analysing issues and communicating their findings clearly.
