News Corp is hiring a Legal Intern for its Bangalore location. The role supports the legal department with contracts, compliance, legal research and other corporate legal work.
About the Opportunity
The Legal Intern will assist with contract drafting, contract file retention and contract process tracking. The role also involves working with internal stakeholders and maintaining reports for statutory audits.
Additionally, the intern will support legal research, compliance activities, employment law updates, POSH filings and vendor reviews. The position offers exposure to corporate law, contract law and regulatory compliance.
Eligibility
- LL.B. or equivalent law degree from a reputable institution.
- 0–2 years of experience in a corporate law firm or in-house legal department.
- Strong legal research, analytical and drafting skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of corporate law, contract law and regulatory compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Draft contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
- Maintain contract files and records.
- Create and track Contract Requisition Forms (CRFs) and contract timelines.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and prioritise legal requests.
- Conduct research on corporate, intellectual property and employment laws.
- Track internal policy changes and compliance updates.
- Monitor changes in employment laws.
- Maintain the India compliance training calendar and track completion.
- Record POSH filings with statutory bodies in consultation with seniors.
- Conduct vendor checks as required under company guidelines.
