The Junior Advocate Opportunity at Chamber of Tanima Bandyopadhyay Biswas provides hands-on exposure to court work, legal research, drafting, case preparation and other day-to-day litigation responsibilities.
Eligibility
- Fresh law graduates can apply.
- Final-year B.A. LL.B./LL.B. students may also apply.
- Prior litigation internship or experience will be an advantage.
- Candidates should be hardworking, sincere and disciplined.
- Genuine interest in a long-term litigation career is preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Regular court work before Alipore District & Sessions Court.
- Matters before DRT.
- Consumer Courts/Commissions.
- Real estate and land disputes.
- Work before other district courts and courts/forums across Kolkata.
- Legal research and case-law analysis.
- Drafting pleadings, applications, notices and other legal documents.
- Filing and case preparation.
- Assisting with day-to-day litigation proceedings.
- Client coordination and chamber-related legal work.
Remuneration
Remuneration: Paid; amount depends on performance, commitment, experience and quality of work.
Location: Tollygunge–Netaji Nagar, Kolkata
