About AIHRA
The All India Human Rights Association (AIHRA) is a civil society organisation affiliated with the United Nations and recognised by the Government of India.
AIHRA works on human rights protection and promotion. It also supports legal and social awareness, citizen empowerment and the welfare and protection of socially and economically vulnerable sections.
About the Internship
The Internship Opportunity at AIHRA is open to law students interested in human rights, constitutional law, criminal law, legal research, social justice and public interest matters.
The online internship will begin on October 1, 2026 and will run for 15 days. AIHRA will select 20 interns for the programme.
Eligibility
- Students pursuing LL.B. or LL.M. from a recognised university.
- Students from any year of LL.B. or LL.M. can apply.
- Interest in human rights, constitutional law, criminal law, legal research, social justice or public interest matters.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and documentation.
- Assist with drafting complaints and representations.
- Support legal awareness activities.
- Research cases and grievances.
- Study social and human rights issues.
- Understand the functioning of Government authorities, Police and Courts.
- Interact with legal and social organisations.

Internship Exposure
Interns will gain exposure to human rights law and related issues. Additionally, the programme covers legal research, documentation, complaint drafting, legal awareness and social and human rights matters.
The internship also provides an opportunity to understand cases and grievances and the functioning of Government authorities, Police and Courts.
