What is FSSAI?
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is a government body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It is responsible for making and enforcing food safety rules across India — basically, it decides what’s safe for you to eat.
About the FSSAI Internship 2026
FSSAI is inviting applications for its Internship Programme for the July–September 2026 quarter. This programme gives students hands-on exposure to food safety administration, food regulation policy, and government functioning.
This is a paid internship. Deserving interns get a stipend of Rs. 10,000 for the full internship period, based on the recommendation of the division they work with.
Eligibility Criteria
You must be a full-time student (graduate, post-graduate, or higher) from a recognised university in India or abroad. The following fields are eligible:
- Business Administration, Management, Finance, Marketing, HR, Economics, Statistics
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Entrepreneurship
- Law (LLB/LLM) — for FSSAI Headquarters only
- Public Policy or Public Administration (PG Degree/Diploma) — HQ only
- Psychology, Taxation, Policy Regulation, and related fields
Stipend and Duration
- Stipend: Rs. 10,000 for the full internship period (given to deserving candidates on division recommendation)
- Duration: Minimum 2 months, extendable up to 6 months
- Internships of less than 2 months will not be offered
