I have recently completed my second year of law school at Mumbai University’s KES Shri Jayantilal H. Patel Law College. Alongside my degree, I am pursuing certificate courses in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Contract Drafting.

So far, I have completed internships with an NGO, a lawyer’s office at the Bombay High Court, and the Rajasthan High Court. These experiences have given me exposure to different areas of legal practice, but they have also left me uncertain about which direction I should pursue moving forward.

At this stage of law school, how should I evaluate different career paths and decide where to focus my efforts? Should I continue exploring diverse opportunities, or is it better to start specializing in a particular field? What factors should a student consider before choosing a legal career path, and how can one identify the areas that best align with their interests and long-term goals?
