As a first-year law student, I have found that virtual internships are often much easier to secure than offline opportunities. While I am eager to gain practical experience, I am unsure how recruiters and legal professionals view online internships in comparison to traditional office-based internships, particularly during the early years of law school.

Since both options offer different learning experiences, I would like to understand how students should approach this decision from a long-term career perspective rather than simply choosing whichever opportunity is available first.

How would you recommend balancing online and offline internships? In your experience, when does each provide the greatest value, and what factors should students consider while deciding between the two?
