I am a final-year law student at Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi. I have completed several internships, primarily involving online research and drafting, along with one in-office internship. I am currently undertaking a three-month online internship in environmental law with EcoVijay Global, an area that I have found particularly interesting. I am now looking to use my final year strategically and explore opportunities with reputed organisations working in environmental law and global environmental compliance.
Most of my previous internship experience has been online, and I have had limited in-office exposure. As I enter my final year, I want to move towards more substantial practical experience in environmental law and explore whether I can build a long-term career in this area. I am particularly interested in global environmental compliance and the intersection of environmental law with international law and trade, but I am unsure about which organisations or types of roles I should target and how I can position my existing experience to secure a strong long-term internship and potentially convert it into a PPO.
Given my current experience and my interest in environmental law and global environmental compliance, how should I approach my final year to build relevant practical experience and improve my chances of securing a long-term internship and, eventually, a PPO? What types of organisations, roles and skills should I focus on, particularly if I want to explore opportunities involving international environmental practice, trade or compliance?
