Virtuosity Legal, in collaboration with ODR Nexus, has announced Verdictum 2.0 – Judgment Writing Competition under the second edition of Virtuosity Lexicon 2026. The national-level online competition gives law students an opportunity to develop their judgment-writing and critical evaluation skills through a two-round format.
The competition focuses on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). Participants will first draft a reasoned judgment based on a hypothetical IPR case. Then, the top six participants will critically evaluate another participant’s judgment.
The competition will follow a take-home online format. Participants can enter individually or as a team of two.
About Verdictum 2.0 Judgment Writing Competition
Verdictum 2.0 is designed to introduce law students to the judicial process through judgment writing and peer evaluation. In the first round, participants will assume the role of a judge and analyse a hypothetical case involving Intellectual Property Rights.
After that, the top six participants will advance to the second round. They will be randomly paired and asked to examine and critique their counterpart’s judgment.
Therefore, the competition tests both legal reasoning and the ability to evaluate another legal analysis.
