About TAXSCAN
TAXSCAN is a content curation and continuing education platform for finance and tax professionals and the fintech ecosystem. Established in 2017 by a group of lawyers and IT professionals, it provides access to judgments, orders, notifications and circulars from courts, tribunals and government departments.
About the Opportunity
TAXSCAN is inviting applications from law students and recent law graduates interested in legal content writing and tax law research. The role focuses on reporting tax judgments, covering regulatory updates and writing articles on tax-related topics.
Selected candidates will research complex legal and tax developments and present them in clear, accessible content. They will also report notifications and circulars related to tax, finance, industry and commerce, along with other tasks assigned by senior team members.
Eligibility
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Currently pursuing a law degree or have recently completed a law degree.
- Five-year LL.B. students: Fourth and fifth-year students are preferred.
- Three-year LL.B. students: Second and third-year students are preferred.
- Have strong writing and editing skills.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to research complex legal and tax information.
- Have good organisational and time-management skills.
- Be able to meet deadlines and work collaboratively.
- Show a willingness to learn and adapt continuously.
Roles and Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Reporting tax judgments from the Supreme Court, High Courts, ITAT, CESTAT, AAR and AAAR.
- Reporting notifications and circulars related to tax, finance, industry and commerce.
- Writing articles on tax-related topics.
- Conducting legal and tax research.
- Completing other related tasks assigned by senior team members.
