Freelance Legal Due Diligence & Research Opportunities
Harsh Jain, Advocate, Supreme Court of India, is looking to build a professional network of experienced paralegals, legal researchers and Freelance Legal Due Diligence Professionals across India and the United States.
The assignments will involve jurisdiction-specific legal research, due diligence reports, legal drafting and documentation support for high-value auctions and distressed assets. Professional assignments start from ₹15,000, with fees depending on the scope and complexity of the work.
About the Opportunity
The opportunity is aimed at experienced legal professionals who can provide reliable, jurisdiction-specific support on project-based assignments.
The work may include preparing legal due diligence reports, conducting legal research, drafting contracts and assisting with Supreme Court and High Court matters. Professionals may also support documentation relating to high-value auction and distressed assets.
The network will cover professionals in both India and the U.S., with local jurisdictional expertise being an important part of the engagement.
Eligibility and Areas of Work
Applicants should have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience and demonstrable expertise in their jurisdiction and area of practice.
Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and regulatory frameworks is expected. Professionals should also stay updated with recent judgments, regulatory developments, policies and other relevant legal developments.
Strong legal research, analytical, documentation and report-writing skills are required. Experience with high-value or high-stakes matters will be preferred.

Engagement and Fees
Assignments will be offered on a project/work and expertise basis. The scope, complexity, jurisdiction, asset class and expertise required for each assignment will determine the engagement and professional fee.
Professional assignments start from ₹15,000. The final fee will vary according to the requirements of the specific assignment.
