Long-Term Paid Research Internship in Regulatory Litigation & White Collar Crimes
The Regulatory Litigation Research Internship offers a long-term, paid work-from-anywhere opportunity for 5th-year and final-year law students interested in regulatory litigation, patent disputes and white collar crimes. The internship involves detailed legal research for complex and time-sensitive matters before courts and tribunals.
The opportunity is offered through the Chambers of Ashish Mehta and is scheduled to begin from 16 September 2026. Applicants must have substantial exposure to the relevant disputes and more than four internships in the specified practice areas.
About the Research Internship
The Chambers is looking for 5th-year and final-year law students to work as Research Interns on a paid basis. The role focuses on detailed and in-depth legal research that supports hearings in complex litigation matters.
The assignments can involve multiple legal issues and often carry tight timelines. According to the opportunity notice, several assignments may run back-to-back and require high-priority research across different dimensions of a dispute.
This Regulatory Litigation Research Internship follows a work-from-anywhere (WFA) model. Therefore, selected interns can undertake the role remotely while supporting research-intensive litigation work.
The internship is also intended as a long-term engagement, with one position opening after six months as stated in the opportunity notice.
Practice Areas and Courts
The internship provides exposure to a broad range of regulatory litigation, patent litigation and white collar crime matters. Assignments may involve proceedings before the following courts and forums:
- Supreme Court of India
- High Courts
- NCLAT
- NCLT
- Sessions Courts
The matters may involve complex legal questions under several statutes, including the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), Companies Act, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), TRAI Act, Prevention of Corruption Act, and Patents Act.
As a result, the role can suit students who want to develop experience in regulatory law, corporate disputes, insolvency, patent litigation or white collar crime matters.
Eligibility and Skills Required
The opportunity is specifically aimed at 5th-year or final-year law students. Candidates should have sound knowledge and good exposure to the disputes mentioned in the internship announcement.
Applicants must also have completed more than four internships related to the relevant disputes. The Chambers has specifically requested candidates who meet these criteria.
Selected candidates should be capable of drafting the following litigation and research documents:
- List of Dates
- Synopsis

Because the assignments can be highly time-sensitive and research-intensive, students should apply only if they can demonstrate relevant prior exposure and the ability to handle detailed legal research.
