The Kautilya’s Take Call for Blogs 2026 invites students, academicians, researchers and professionals from all fields to submit original, research-driven blogs on contemporary issues concerning law, governance and public policy. The initiative is organised by the Kautilya Society at NUSRL Ranchi for its policy blog, Kautilya’s Take.
About Kautilya’s Take
Kautilya’s Take is the official policy blog of the Kautilya Society at the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi. The platform encourages critical and reflective discussions on contemporary legal and policy developments, with an emphasis on analytical depth, accessibility and practical solutions to governance challenges.
The Kautilya Society is a student-led initiative established through a collaboration between NUSRL Ranchi and the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy.
Eligibility
The call is open to:
- Students from all fields of study
- Academicians
- Researchers
- Professionals
Co-authorship is permitted, with a maximum of two authors.
Submission Guidelines
Submissions must be original and unpublished. Authors must also provide a short bio of up to 150 words and include at least two high-quality, copyright-free images relevant to the blog.
Selected submissions may be published on the official Kautilya Society website following the review and approval process.
The submission must be made in .doc or .docx format.
Word Limit and Formatting
Articles must be between 1,500 and 2,000 words, including footnotes.
The prescribed formatting is:
- Times New Roman
- Font size 12
- 1.5 line spacing
- Justified alignment
References should preferably be provided through hyperlinks. Where hyperlinks are not suitable, authors should use OSCOLA 4th Edition for endnotes.

The Kautilya Society has suggested themes including:

Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis. The initial screening considers originality, plagiarism, AI compliance, grammar, formatting and relevance. Shortlisted submissions then undergo subject-specific peer review.
