About
Samarjit Singh is an Associate in the Insolvency and Restructuring practice at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Mumbai β one of India’s premier law firms and a leading force in IBC work. An LLB graduate from Jindal Global Law School (2023), he read History at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi before pursuing law β bringing an unusually broad intellectual foundation to his legal practice. At CAM, he works closely with Partner and Head of Restructuring Dhananjay Kumar, and has co-authored published legal commentary on cross-border insolvency, including a widely shared CAM Blog piece on the use of comity in Indian insolvency proceedings. His academic grounding in European insolvency law, developed during a research internship under Professor Nikolaos K. Voutyrakos at JGLS, complements his hands-on work on cutting-edge IBC matters including group insolvency and the creditor-led resolution process. Away from law, Samarjit represented India as a competitive shooter, competing at the Asian Youth Games in Nanjing in 2013 β a dimension of his background that speaks to discipline, focus, and performing under pressure.
