About the Opportunity
Hilti India is inviting applications from fourth and fifth-year students enrolled in a five-year integrated LL.B. programme for a 6–8 week internship with its Legal & Compliance team in Gurgaon, Haryana. Candidates should have a strong academic foundation in Contract Law and Company Law, along with previous internship experience at established law firms.
The internship offers hands-on exposure to in-house legal operations, commercial contracting, corporate governance and compliance processes. Interns will assist with reviewing commercial agreements, conducting legal research, preparing internal legal notes and supporting statutory records and litigation trackers.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be in the fourth or fifth year of a five-year integrated LL.B. programme.
- Have good knowledge of Contract Law and Company Law.
- Have previous internship experience with established law firms. This is mandatory.
- Have strong legal research, writing and drafting skills.
- Understand contract structures and legal terminology.
- Be able to analyse statutes, case law and regulatory frameworks.
- Be proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, professionalism and a strong work ethic.
Preferred: Experience with commercial or transactional legal teams is an advantage.
Roles and Responsibilities
Selected interns will work with the Legal & Compliance team on the following tasks:
- Contracting and Commercial Support: Review and redline commercial agreements, including non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), procurement service agreements, customer contracts and terms and conditions.
- Contract Drafting: Assist in drafting standard contract clauses and maintaining contract templates.
- Negotiation Support: Conduct background research on legal issues and contractual risks to support negotiations.
- Legal Research and Advisory: Research the Information Technology Act, Contract Law, Company Law, data privacy, labour codes and other relevant Indian laws.
- Legal Documentation: Prepare concise legal research notes, opinions, internal briefs and risk assessment summaries.
- Corporate Governance: Assist with litigation trackers, statutory filings and record maintenance.
