About the Internship
As part of this internship, you will work directly with JioSaavn’s Legal & Business Affairs team, handling a wide range of legal, regulatory, and contractual matters related to digital media, technology, and content licensing. Because JioSaavn operates at the intersection of entertainment and technology, this role offers rare, practical exposure to data privacy compliance, intermediary regulations, and media law — all within one internship.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Research: Research issues relating to technology law, intermediary liability, intellectual property, media regulations, and data privacy laws.
- Drafting Documents: Assist in reviewing, drafting, and summarising agreements, including MOUs, NDAs, and other commercial contracts.
- Case Management: Support in maintaining contract repositories, trackers, and documentation for ongoing legal matters.
- Compliance: Assist the legal team with compliance-related work, including monitoring developments under the Information Technology Act, Intermediary Guidelines, and other applicable regulations.
- Litigation Support: Help draft responses to legal notices, regulatory queries, and internal escalations as needed.
- General Support: Coordinate with internal stakeholders and assist the legal team with day-to-day legal operations.
