What Is This Internship?
The University School of Law and Legal Studies (USLLS), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, runs this Legal Outreach Internship Programme through its USLLS ADR Blog. The programme sends law student interns into the community to raise awareness about Alternative Dispute Resolution, legal aid, and contemporary legal issues. If you want hands-on exposure to legal literacy work, field research, and outreach writing, rather than desk-based research alone, this USLLS internship offers exactly that.
About the USLLS Internship 2026
This internship runs for 15 days, from 15 July to 31 July 2026. It’s an offline, on-site programme based out of USLLS, GGSIPU, Sector 16C, Dwarka, New Delhi, with interns also travelling to various districts across Delhi for outreach work. USLLS has opened 40 positions for this cycle. The internship carries no stipend, but interns receive a Certificate of Completion, and top performers receive a Certificate of Merit.
Interns don’t just do outreach, either. USLLS gives them a chance to publish their research on the USLLS ADR Blog itself, based on what they gather during the outreach programme. That’s a genuine writing credit, not just a participation line for your CV.
What Work Will You Do?
Expect a mix of field and desk work, including:
- Visiting institutions such as old age homes, NGOs for children and women, and schools and colleges across Delhi NCR to raise awareness about legal aid, ADR, and contemporary legal issues
- Conducting surveys and outreach using pre-designed questionnaires
- Preparing weekly reports with photos and write-ups documenting outreach activities
- Contributing to a research paper published on the USLLS ADR Blog, based on outcomes from the survey and outreach work
Who Should Apply?
USLLS has kept eligibility broad, but with a clear preference:
- Currently enrolled UG law students in a 3-year or 5-year LLB programme, or LLM and PhD (Law) students, are eligible
- USLLS gives preference to students based in Delhi, since the role requires travelling to different districts across the city
- A genuine commitment to social responsibility and outreach work matters here, since this internship is built around fieldwork, not research alone
Important Things to Note Before Applying
- This is an unpaid internship. No remuneration is provided.
- Interns must report to the designated institution or campus during working hours, Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4 pm.
- You’ll need to stay free of college duties and academic responsibilities for the internship period, and commit roughly 20 hours a week.
- USLLS allows a maximum of two leaves across the full internship duration.
- USLLS’s Editorial Board reviews applications for the ADR Blog, and only shortlisted candidates get contacted for further steps.
