What is IBBI?
The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) is a statutory body. The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 established it, and it functions under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. IBBI regulates insolvency professionals, insolvency professional agencies, and information utilities. It also oversees the implementation of India’s insolvency framework.
About the IBBI Internship Programme
IBBI offers a structured internship to students who want to pursue a career in insolvency, liquidation, bankruptcy, or related fields. Unlike most government internships, this programme runs on a rolling basis, there’s no fixed quarterly cycle. Instead, you can apply for any month, as long as your application reaches IBBI at least 30 days before your intended start date.
Importantly, this is a paid internship. So, selected interns receive a lump sum stipend of Rs. 10,000 for the month.
