I am a law student from a non-NLU college and come from a region where exposure to the corporate legal sector is limited. Despite these challenges, I am keen to build a career in corporate law and would like to understand how I can position myself for opportunities in this field.

Given the competitive nature of corporate law recruitment, what should be my priorities during law school? Which skills, internships, extracurricular activities, certifications, and networking efforts are most valuable for students aspiring to work at top law firms or in-house legal teams?

Additionally, what are some common mistakes that students from non-traditional backgrounds make while pursuing corporate law, and how can they overcome the disadvantages of limited exposure and access to professional networks?
