I’m a law student and everywhere I look, people keep saying that networking is one of the most important things for building a successful legal career. The problem is that I’m quite introverted and don’t naturally feel comfortable reaching out to lawyers, law firm associates, recruiters, or even seniors from my college. Most networking advice I come across is very generic, and simply sending LinkedIn connection requests doesn’t seem to create meaningful relationships. As a law student, how should I actually approach networking, start genuine conversations, and build connections that can help me learn, grow, and create opportunities in the legal profession?
