Huzaifa Salim is an Associate at Metalegal Advocates, New Delhi, practising at the intersection of economic offences, PMLA and Benami law, taxation, and venture capital. A BA LLB (Hons.) graduate from Jamia Millia Islamia (2023) and a qualified Company Secretary from ICSI, he graduated Batch Rank 1 out of 133 students before joining Metalegal — where he has been part of landmark enforcement matters, including the BitBns crypto exchange case before the PMLA Tribunal, one of the first instances in India involving on-chain transaction analysis and Etherscan data to trace proceeds of crime. He is a regular contributor to Metalegal’s published legal analysis — covering online gaming regulation, ESOP taxation, IBC resolution plans, and more — and has published in Taxmann on the taxation of intermediaries and carried interest, two technically demanding areas that reflect his dual grounding in law and company secretaryship. Featured in Metalegal’s Perspective Series on PMLA and Benami practice, he brings both analytical rigour and a practitioner’s instinct to some of India’s most complex regulatory enforcement matters.
